On behalf of the MND and Me Foundation, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the ’2012 St Patrick’s Day Gala Dinner’.
We are very excited to be heading back to Suncorp Stadium and we have another fun-filled night planned with plenty of Irish entertainment on offer for St. Patrick’s day.
You will be greeted at the door with a pint of Guinness to kick off pre-dinner drinks on the northern concourse, overlooking the hallowed turf. Be entertained by the fabulous Queensland Irish Association Dancers and a special performance by the highly regarded University of Queensland Pipe Band.
It’s then off to the Members’ Dining Room for dinner, dessert, auctions, raffles and live entertainment by legendary Brisbane band Miles from Nowhere. Your Master of Ceremonies will be 4BC and ‘Queensland Weekender’ personality Victoria Carthew and you will hear from our special guest, Wallaby legend and 1991 Rugby World Cup winning captain, Nick Farr-Jones!
It has been an amazing first year for the Foundation and we continue to be humbled by the level of support we have received for this very important, yet often neglected, cause. The Gala Dinner will allow us to showcase the Foundation’s work over the last 12 months and outline our initiatives for 2012. It will also be an opportunity to learn about the latest in Motor Neurone Disease research from Dr. Rob Henderson and to thank and acknowledge our tremendous supporters over the last 12 months.
Personally, it has been an incredible journey for me over the last year. I am blessed to have a great family and a tremendous support network. I can only hope that with your assistance, the Foundation can provide a similar level of support to all families impacted by MND.
Looking forward to seeing you on the night!
