In 2010, Scott Sullivan was told he had Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and his life expectancy was just 3-5 years. In spite of this tragic news the his first thoughts were not only for his beautiful wife Sarah and his two kids – Abbey and Charlie – but for other people living with MND. So he helped start The MND and Me Foundation which was launched officially at a massive fundraising event attended by 665 people at Suncorp Stadium in March, 2011. The registered charity now raises much needed money and awareness for MND. Scott’s courage and drive to help others despite his illness is an inspiration to us all.
October 14th, 2011 Scott Sullivan was awarded the Queensland ‘Pride of Australia Medal’ for Courage.
