Million Metres for MND Ride 2018

We're excited to announce that we are continuing the Million Metres legacy - riding from Townsville on Saturday, 11 August and arriving in Brisbane on Sunday, 19 August

The original Million Metres for MND Ride was held in May 2013 when Scott Sullivan and Ian Davis - both living with MND - rode a specially designed tandem bicycle from Brisbane to Sydney over 16 days. This two-man mission captured the hearts of the communities along the route and Scott and Ian were able to raise over $60,000 for MND research!

While Scott lost his battle with MND in April 2014, his legacy is well and truly alive. A feature length documentary called “Legacy – A Ride to Conquer MND” was made of this epic journey.

This year's Million Metres for MND Ride is similarly designed as a charity bike ride covering over 1,000,000 metres between Townsville and Brisbane - with an aim to raise awareness and funds for Queenslanders living with motor neurone disease.

This will be a ride to remember.

We invite you to join us as we ride through the heartland of Queensland, experiencing the best regional Queensland has to offer – striking mountain ranges, friendly country people, small town hospitality, remote outback highways and vast farmlands.

It will be nine days of hard riding - a life-changing experience with teamwork, courage and determination.

Importantly, it is your chance to use your bike to become part of the solution to assist people impacted by MND and helping us ensure no Queenslander faces MND alone.
