i-Pads
A key objective of the Foundation is to keep people with MND connected to loved ones and the community.
A percentage of people with MND lose their ability to speak. Once this occurs they rely on Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) aides to communicate. One of the ways we assist this is through our “i-Pad Loan Program”.
Through a lot of generous donations, the Foundation has developed a support service were we can loan at no cost to the person with MND. The i-Pad is pre-loaded with an AAC Application (App) recommended by a Speech Pathologist. Generally this “App” will allow you to type what you would like to say and then convert your text into a computerised voice allowing you to participate in the conversation.

How do I get an i-Pad?
To access an i-Pad you will need to be assess Speech Pathologist. If you wish to participate in this program please have your Speech Pathologist contact us at [email protected] If you do not have access to a Speech Pathologist email us and we will attempt to refer you to one.
If you already have you own i-Pad we can arrange for the recommended AAC to be purchased.
